About: We created a mapping video using cutting-edge neural networks and animation tools. In collaboration with the musicAeterna musicians and the Hermitage 21st Century Foundation for the «Museum 15/24» project, the facade of the House of Radio was transformed into a living canvas, presenting the timeless masterpiece «Boy with a Lute» by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (1595/1596) from the esteemed State Hermitage collection. Adapting to the evolving styles and genres of 20th-century art, Caravaggio’s classic piece morphs into «The Lute Player» by Zhang Huan, previously featured in the artist’s solo exhibition «In the Ashes of History» at the Winter Palace in the Fall of 2020. This project serves as a tribute to the 450th anniversary of Caravaggio’s birth (1571–1610).
